| Tricia Schafer joined Mariscal, Weeks, McIntyre & Friedlander, P.A. in 2005, and practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation and employment law. Ms. Schafer’s practice emphasizes advising and defending businesses in employment related law and litigation. Her experience includes: conducting investigations; handling discrimination charges; and defending all types of employment-related litigation in state and federal courts and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Ms. Schafer also counsels businesses and individuals on the prevention and resolution of disputes.
Ms. Schafer earned her B.A. in Economics with Honors at the University of California at Berkeley, and her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center.
Prior to joining Mariscal Weeks, Ms. Schafer’s experience included serving as in-house counsel as a staff attorney, and as a staff attorney at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One.
Ms. Schafer is also active in the local fitness community. She is a certified personal trainer, member of a masters’ swim team, and frequent competitor in 5K and 10K road races. In this capacity, she has also advised fitness businesses on liability and risk-management issues.
